Welcome to the Waterfield Cup Memorial Regatta!
This point total regatta is hosted by the Virginia Tech Crew Team to commemorate the life of freshman rower, Clayton Waterfield, who passed away in February 2004. The regatta is held on the beaches of Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin, Virginia. This 2000-meter race features collegiate racing and includes all sweep events as well as small boat events. All races are finals only and there are medals for first place finishers. The team with the most points will be the winners of the regatta and receive the Clayton W. Waterfield Cup as a prize. The finish line and the last 1000 meters are clearly visible to all spectators from the beach/launching area.
T-shirts will be available for purchase on the day of the regatta for $25 each!
Waterfield Cup Regatta 2022
After two years, the Virginia Tech Crew team will finally be hosting another Waterfield Cup this Spring! The regatta will be held on April 2nd, 2022.

2020 Results
Due to COVID-19, the VT Crew Team was unable to host this years Waterfield Cup Regatta. If the regulations permit, we hope to host again in the 2021 Spring Season, but with safety as the top priority.
